Each page below takes one subject and gives every sermon in the twenty-six volumes that touches it, a chart of how much of each volume it occupies, and a table of which men raised it most. The charts are the point: the Utah War is nothing in most volumes and thirty-five per cent of volume 5, and the United Order takes half of volume 17 and almost nothing either side of it.

Each of these gathers every discourse in the twenty-six volumes that bears on the doctrine, grouped by what the sermon does with it — teaches it, states its premise, qualifies it, or denies it — with the passages quoted and linked.

The rest trace a subject through the whole series. Related subject headings are counted together — plural marriage and polygamy, for instance — so each sermon counts once however many of them it carries. The number is how many of the 1,426 sermons carry the subject.
